Chickasaw Adventures BD
for my Vis 1 class. There is a double page spread that goes with this but my hand died before I finished it so it looks super derpy in comparison to this one. orz
Wip on a bust for class!
I’m kind of upset about it because I almost had a portfolio review with Laika but I derped up. Was going to bring this and now every time I look at it I just think of opportunity lost.
BUT OH WELL, NEXT TIME.
heh, drawing centipede ladies for class.
Hello! I was wondering are you planning to make Dramatical Murder plushes?
Hi! I haven’t played (or watched?) Dramatical Murder so I probably wont be making any of the characters unless someone commissions them. Or if I end up watching the anime coming out and really really like it. (which probably wont happen soon because I have a lot of other series to catch up on ahh) I have a pretty big to-do list as it is. But thanks for asking!
My current list of series I’m working on I definitely plan to make are:
Kill la Kill (Elite four, Nui, and Aikuro)
Game of Thrones (Arya, Sansa, Bran, Joffrey, Cersi, Jamie, Brienne, Tyrion, Kahl Drogo)
Supernatural (Crowely, Kevin)
Doctor Who (Amy Pond, Rory, 9th Doctor)
Adventure Time (Main cast and maybe gender bend versions depending)
Hobbits/LOTR (Bilbo, Kili, Fili, Thorin, Legolas, Thranduil, Frodo, Sam)
Harry Potter (Harry, Hermione, Ron, Draco, Snape)
Walking Dead (Rick, Michonne, Carl, Beth, Maggie, Glenn)
Blue Exorcist (Rin, Yukito, Mephisto)
Deathnote (L, Light, Near, Mello, Matt)
DRRR!! (Celty, Izaya, Shizuo)
working on bookmark designs!
Working on character turnarounds for Maquette with Larison.
I like this character so much but I’m having so many regrets.
We have to make turnarounds for 6 characters, with at least 4 views on each one. orz
egyptianwholockdragons said: Do you think you will ever possibly make a Marik plushie? :o
Yes! I plan to make Marik (not Yami) and Yami Yugi eventually. It may take me a while though ahhh.
Is he even called Yami Marik? I don’t remember lol;
Finally have my SNK shrine put together :) I picked up the Erwin Plush at Anime Matsuri from kafai and adorable prints at Anime Matsuri from lordfuzzyruu's table :D Thank you guy, I love my prints and I've cuddled Erwin every night since I got him!
Whao man your room is super cute :D
Thanks for stopping by my table at Anime Matsuri!
I don’t know if it’s too late, but does anyone know these two cosplayers? They left their cute jeanhorse plushie at my table at Anime Matsuri and I would like to get it back to them.
Working on new plushie designs :0
I plan to include
solution Aikuro and elite four as well.
(edit: wow my phone’s autocorrect lmao)
My new favorite ship is Amaimon x Shiemi.
Just curious because I'm considering sequential myself- what is being a sequential major like? What do you plan to do when you graduate? Thank you :) And keep up the good work!!
Hi anon! Are you already at scad? (or SVA perhaps?) I can only really speak on sequential majors at scad, but I think it is definitely one of the stronger majors that the school offers. Originally when I was a freshman I planned on being an animation or illustration major. My sister graduated from scad as well with an animation degree, and go a cool job working for Floyd County Productions and Bento Box in Atlanta less than half a year after graduation. My parents were really pushing me to follow in her footsteps so I’d have job security.
BUT I went to a couple sequential major workshops and realized it was really the best fit for me and my interests. I’m not super big into comics, so I’ve struggled at first with some of the workload but it’s definitely worth it. The sequential major at scad really focuses on learning how to draw figures, environments, story telling, and keeping everything consistent from panel to panel. It’s pretty much the hybrid child between animation and Illustration. Though I haven’t taken any Illustration classes personally, I’ve heard that a lot of it is very focused on making a unique style and how to deal with freelance clients, not so much actually training you how to draw things consistently. A lot of that I feel I’ve already kind of learned on my own, or could learn with time. I picked sequential because I’ve always struggled with drawing characters consistently and had a hard time with environments, and I felt that improving my drawing skills were definitely something I needed guidance to achieve.
Right now, I still struggle with the story telling aspect of classwork, but I enjoy learning it. It’s also really cool to be around so many other seqa majors at the school, it’s really like a big family in the building and all the professors are super cool. The workload is kind of overwhelming sometimes, and I don’t have much of a life besides sleeping and working ha ha. But I manage.
My plans after graduation are to try to get a job as a background painter or layout artist for an animation studio. Then, I’d like to draw and self publish webcomics in my free time. I’m currently building up my portfolio for the environment art though, so I’m not as focused on comics at this time. If I can’t get a job doing backgrounds, I’ll probably bum around at cons for a while
and weep. But I’m working to make that not happen.
If that doesn’t work out, then I’m going to start my own printing business tailored towards helping other artists create merchandise for online or convention sales.
waahhh finished in time for Katsucon! Will hopefully making matching Satsuki/Mako/Nui prints in the future.
